Hey, just a quick question, I'm nearly 35 weeks pregnant. I've noticed the last few weeks my nipples have started to become flakey/hard crummy bits falling off it or just on them. Is this normal or could it just be a sign of milk coming in?
Hope this makes sense, so hard to explain it.
Thanks in advance to any advice xx

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

That happened to me too!
Never found out what it was about but went away a few months post natal.

@usern123 it’ll be dried colostrum :)

Ive been 'leaking' from so early in this pregnancy and I have found my nipples are alot drier and flake wee bits of dry skin. Ive started to apply nipple cream. Sometimes if its been a long day and ive had my bra on from morning to night and i take it off there are wee dry bits of colostrum that have leaked out then dried onto my nipple lol! You'll defo know your starting to leak, if I dont put breast pads on I can see it on my bra, especially if its light coloured as colostrum has a yellow tinge to it. I would get a good moisturising nipple cream and start applying now, should sort you out.
