Not the most pleasant of topics but after others experiences/opinions. For the last 24 hours I've been struggling with diarrhoea - basically whatever I eat has me running to the loo!!! I can't think of anything I've eaten that would have set it off, and I did wonder at first if it was just another side effect of growing a baby (should also add I have IBS and had been warned it could be aggravated in pregnancy)! But because it's been constant for 24 hours now I'm starting to worry.

I've been unsure on who to call, I've never been given a midwife or midwife's number to contact as I only see a community midwife - and every appointment I've had has been with someone new!! I'm seeing the community midwife tomorrow for my 31 week appointment - do I just wait and see what she thinks then? Or is it work me calling the hospital for advice now? If I call the hospital - who do I ring? Triage?

Apologies for the 21 questions, first time Mum here so trying not to panic and read too much in to this!

Don't panic too much. I had diarrhea for 10 weeks straight (currently 33 weeks) and just been diagnosed with colitis and even before then, GP and midwife advice was plenty of fluids until I was seen by gastro. Mention it tomorrow, keep drinking. If it persists you'll likely need to do a sample to test for infection.

@Mummyof2Terrors thank you! Aah right, colitis runs in my family so know how hard it can be - hope you're doing well. I'll let the midwife know tomorrow and see what she says xx
