I'll try not to waffle, just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

Over BH weekend I suffered a MC, would've been around 6 wk so very early.
As it was weekend I called 111, the on call GP just said if I was MC nothing they could do (i totally understand that) and to retake a test in a couple of weeks.

2nd test came up negative, but I logged onto patient access it has pregnant listed under "problems".
I'm guessing I need to advise them that's no longer the case, but I know it sounds stupid I dont know what I'm supposed to say to the receptionist 😔

I'm so sorry for your loss @IARTNS. I've had 2 this year, first one I was seen at the EPU so they dealt with notification to my GP, the 2nd was much earlier along and I filled in a consultation form on patientline under the pregnancy option to inform my gp what had happened and that I was now testing negative. I knew they couldn't do anything but I wanted it in my record as a second loss in case a referral to recurrent miscarriage clinic is needed later on down the line xx

I'm sorry for your loss @IARTNS

I had early miscarriage in Jan, similar thing happened took another test after light bleeding stopped (docs advice) & was negative. I didn't get in touch with the docs again.
Fast forward this week when I had to ring to log my new pregnancy, the doc question me being pregnant in January & I had to go through the update with her for her to update my notes before we could even talk about this pregnancy.
So I would advise calling the doc, telling reception that you need to update the doctor regarding your pregnancy following bleeding. I'd hope that would stop the receptionist asking more questions!

Just call and say you had a mc.

I never register a pregnancy before 6wk because of the number of chemicals I've had. I self refer to the midwife team no contact with GP, had to ring to tell them I've miscarried quite a few times. Not the easiest of calls but they have always been lovely.
