4 days late - 2 negative tests

Okay so I'm 4 days late on my period, I'm never late and never go over 35 days, I'm currently day 38.. I've taken 2 pregnancy tests, 1 yesterday and another this morning and they're both negative.. what do I do? I don't understand why my period hasn't come if it's not pregnancy? Has this happened to anyone else?! Help is much appreciated haha

Stress, illness and just a once off can cause a missed period. I didn't get a positive on a test though until I was 6 days late but I have shorter cycles than you

I was 6 days late before I got my BFP - BFNs at 2 and 4 days late

I never got a positive test until I was a week late. No idea why! Try again tomorrow, make sure it's your first wee in the morning as the hormones are more concentrated in that one. Good luck!

Omg 🥺 I've been trying to talk it out my mind so I don't get my hopes up after seeing the 2 BFN's so I'll leave it a couple of days and try again, thank you all!

Did you get your covid vaccine recently? Some friends of mine have said it delayed their periods

@shivawn I had my second dose on the 5th of may but 4th of may was supposed to be the start of my period window anyway so I don't think the jab has effected it, it hasn't messed with my last few, had my first dose in feb

@Hugo2 I went to hospital last weekend because I fainted in the supermarket, going by my LMP I was 6weeks pregnant, dr done a pregnancy test ans told me I wasn’t pregnant! I had to argue my point and get them to do a blood test , while waiting for results drs changed shifts and I had another dr who asked to examine me the. Said let’s get a scan and see what’s going on, I was scared she was going to find something awful but turns out I am carrying 2 healthy babies and I’m not 6weeks I’m 11weeks! I didn’t stick around for the blood results If your period doesn’t show int he next week I’d say call the dr and ask for a blood test some are ok and agree others dismiss you , I could have listened to the first dr that saw me and agreed I wasn’t pregnant then I would have been eating sushi and drinking vodka ! Trust your instincts and so what’s right for you

@Cherryblossom2021 omg how amazing! Congratulations on your amazing 2 little babies! So even at 11 weeks with twins which they say makes it show up more, you was still having negative pregnancy tests?! 😅

Just done another pregnancy test, but not on my first wee of the day because I just nipped out and couldn't resist buying one - obviously a negative, what did I do?! Do I wait or just accept I'm not pregnant? Still no period, had back ache and little niggles next to my hip.. is my body just being weird?

Wait a few days and try again. But with your first morning wee! A few of us don't seem to get positive tests until we're a few days late. I'd say get a test in ready for Sunday morning.

I had my first ever later period 2 periods ago - it was a 5 week cycle. My next one was 3 weeks. No idea what is going on, loads of my friends have had weird cycles lately too. So odd. No idea what this means for TTC which we are embarking on.

@Mummylucy11 still no period so got a blood test at the end of the month and a scan is getting arranged too! Very strange haha
