19+2 headaches

I plan to call the antenatal clinic tomorrow, but I wondered if anyone had any experiences or thoughts.

I am 19+2 and on my second consecutive day of painful headaches. I've had awful headaches 2-4 days per week throughout this pregnancy. This is my second pregnancy and I had headaches on the first trimester last time too which I know is quite normal, but I'm not sure about these being ongoing so far into the second trimester.

I have been drinking a lot of water most days, occasionally not enough but on the whole I've been good at keeping up with my increased needs. My blood pressure (tested only at home) seems to be fine too.

I haven't had headaches but the way I'm rotating through the pregnancy symptoms lately I wouldn't be surprised if I get them soon.

Staying hydrated and good BP sounds good to me. Calling in to the clinic tomorrow might put your mind at rest. Maybe try taking some paracetamol for now?

I had really bad headaches continuously for a few weeks at around the same stage. It was awful and you have my sympathies!

I saw the gp just to check my blood pressure and all was okay there. Other than that I just increased my water intake, and used 4head and migraine cool strips whenever possible.

My gp did give me cocodamol (8/500) and said that I can take 1 with 1 paracetamol if they get very bad which did help, especially at night, I only took them a handful of times though as I was quite hesitant. The only reassurance I can give is that by about 24/25 weeks they stopped completely.

I had some awful headaches around 18/19 weeks. They passed fairly quickly though - I hope yours do too... it’s horrid!

I had awful pregnancy related headaches both times. They are awful and i feel for you. I had a near constant headache that never went away. I cant remember first time round, near 7 years ago now but this time it was well into the 2nd trimester before they started to subside and id say by about 20 weeks they went away and I have only had the odd one since. Defo doing the right thing getting checked out tho! Hope they ease for you, they are truely awful.
