Acid Reflux

Hi,

I am nearly 7 weeks pregnant and for the last 2 weeks have been suffering really bad with acid in my stomach.

I have looked at advice online, spoke to my dr who is referring me for tests to check for any issues with my stomach as have always suffered.

The pain is very uncomfortable and have not managed to have anything decent to eat for over a week with the nausea from both MS and acid.

I was wondering if anyone else has suffered and if they have any tips or advice on how to help relieve.

Thank you

Lie on your left side
Sleep and sit upright
Have you tried gaviscon?

Ranitidine or better still omeprazole

Also don't eat or drink fizzy a few hours before bed. I find mines worse at night

Omeprazole is a life saver. See if your doctor will give you a prescription.

My doctor prescribed me omeprazole but honestly, it did nothing. I also have peptac peppermint liquid which is the GP’s version of gaviscon... texture is like custard but it does help for a few hours. Other than that, stop eating or drinking anything fizzy/sugary etc a few hours before bed. I wake up at 2/3am most nights feeling like death and it’s usually because I ate something last minute or had a small amount of fluid
