Hiya, I'm new! I'm a first time mum!
I am currently 34 weeks pregnant, lastnight I had a small bit of discharge (yellowish/white) thick and then today I have been having the same discharge but a lot more and more thicker than yesterday I was told in a class to smell it to see what way it would smell, it smelt very sweet. (Sorry). I've been having period cramping in my belly, have an appointment with the consultant tomorrow but have I lost my mucus plug or am I over thinking?
Thank you xx

Hello, I know the amount of discharge increases the further along you are, but not sure if could be plug, I found this article on NCT which may help in identifying if the discharge looked the same. www.nct.org.uk/pregnancy/worries-and-discomforts/common-discomforts/mucus-plug-what-it-and-what-does-it-look I would definitely mention this to the consultant tomorrow aswell esp if u are having some cramping, best to get checked out. If u are going to the hospital the consultant may refer you to the maternity assessment unit to get checked over. Hope all goes ok and good luck with your journey, I’m currently 23 weeks with my second but suffering a little more this time round but will all be worth it ☺️
