Hi everyone!! It’s my first time ttc and I was just wondering around what time others conceived! I’ve heard that in the week leading upto ovulation and the day of ovulation are the best times to conceive! And of you ladies conceive days before ovulation?

I guess you mean to ask when we did the deed? As conception (conceiving) is when the sperm meets the egg. We dtd two days before ovulation this time around and on the day last time (which mc). Sperm can last up to five days inside you and it can take 12 hours to swim to the egg. The egg on the other hand doesn’t last long at all so the sperm needs to be there waiting.
Good luck op.

Conception can only happen after ovulation but having sex up to 5 days before ovulation can mean that the sperm is ready when you do.

As others have said, the actual conception will happen after ovulation, but as far as timing sex, I ovulated on January 3rd and had sex on December 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st, then January 1st, 2nd, 3rd (ovulation day) and 4th. So every day of the fertile window up to and including ovulation and then the day after too.

For DD I had sex the day before ovulation, this pregnancy it was the day of and two days before. My miscarriages were day of, two days before, three days before and the other was the day before.

I had my DC in the days before ovulation tests were available, but going on physical symptoms alone I'm certain I conceived all three of my DC on the day of ovulation. If it helps, all three of my little darlings are boys Smile

I was using an app so I don't know how accurate it was but we done the deed the first day it said I had a high chance of getting pregnant and it done the job, was the only time we done the deed that month too so it had to have been that time.

10 days.
And yes I know that shouldn't be possible.
And yes I know it when I ovulated. I'm guessing I also had an early extra silent ovulation 🤷

And it was the only unprotected sex we had, and the dates tied in perfectly with measurements etc.

This little miracle is now running round.
