Hi all

Long story but I’ll try to summarise..

I currently manage people and have a lot of responsibility. I work 4 days but boss has agreed to 3 days, I will still have same role and responsibilities. I don’t particularly enjoy the role.

I was offered a job with a different company which is full time, 5 days a week but entirely from home. The role is also only managing myself & no one else.

I have two young children (3&1).

To throw a spanner in the works, I also recently found out I am pregnant.

I thought I had decided on the new job from home but I’m already nervous about getting serious mum guilt.

I also wonder if it’s stupid to change jobs when I’ve just found out I’m pregnant.

What would you do? Please help!

Stay in current role. Keep at 4 days for the mat pay.

This.

I’d then consider different roles after mat leave. I’d never risk a new job when pregnant, it’s too easy for them to get rid of you if they want.

Would your pay stay the same for the same responsibilities over 3 days instead of 4?
If it's that you don't enjoy the role I would stay with it for a while longer. If it's that you really hate / stressed then I would consider options

Agree. Stay where you are. Congrats on your pregnancy!
