Telephone 16 weeks appointment

Due to covid I wasn't able to see my midwife for my 16 week appointment, it had to be over the phone, so therefore I didn't get to hear my babies heartbeat, and I still haven't. I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and was wondering if I would be able to hear the heartbeat then?

I had a face to face app at the hospital at 16+6wk and they didn't listen to the heartbeat, they didn't put it on speakers at my anomaly scan either.
We did hear it at a private scan at 16+4wk though. My next app is at 28 weeks, hopefully they will listen in then but I feel lots of movement now so not as worried anyway.

I think it depends on your hospital to be honest.

My 16 week appointment was over the phone so never got to hear it then (although not all midwives listen at 16 weeks anyway) and they never listened to it at my 20 week scan at the hospital either. We seen the heartbeat on the screen but never got to listen.

We'd had a private scan at 17 weeks anyway though and they listened so I didn't mind.

If they don't routinely, if you ask they might listen in for you
