Miscarriage has everything come out

Hi I recently had a miscarriage, they told me to take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks time to make sure it says negative so I know nothing has remained behind, I will wait 3 weeks,but I'm just curious has this happened to anyone else and did they test sooner than 3 weeks and get a negative

Mine started on a Wednesday evening, by Tuesday I had a negative clearblue. I treated those days as my ‘period’ to get an idea of my cycle for next time. My actual period did come pretty much exactly 28 days after that, so things settled very quickly. Hoping it’s the same for you x

Did your bleeding start on the Wednesday or was Wednesday the day of the actual miscarriage if that makes sense

I had the start of it on Wednesday. The actual tissue came out in the Thursday, and I bled on and on until the Sunday.

It depends how far along you get. I've had a few mc's at 8wk and had negative tests a couple of weeks after the bleeding started, not sure how far along the pregnancies actually got as I didn't have scans. My 1st was at 12wk (no scan either) but got an infection so took much longer for bleeding to stop and over a month before tests were negative. My last was at 9+3 by lmp, baby had measured 7+4 a week earlier. Bleeding was 8 days and negative test took just over 3 weeks. Had several chemical pregnancies too (under 6wk), those I get negative tests before bleeding starts.

So sorry to hear of all of your losses. I got to 9 weeks I think. I'm gonna test on monday and that will be two full weeks since bleeding first started. My bleeding had now stopped but il give it an other couple of days before I test

So sorry for your loss. My miscarriage at 7/8 weeks was horrendous and took about 13 weeks to get a negative test and heavy bleeding for weeks on end. I think it was pretty unusual though. Fingers crossed yours is done and dusted a bit quicker than mine was.
