Hi, so I'm new to this! I've been ovulation testing for a fair few weeks now and they are quite clearly negative. However I've just tested and I'm not sure of its a positive?! What do you think??
Also- periods are so irregular I've no way of knowing my cycle (last period .. Jan I think?!) .. and temperature checking is inconclusive !

Ovulation test.. positive..?

Looks negative to me however my control line was never as light as that. Are all your sticks coming out like that? Are they in date?

If your last cycle was January, are you getting medical help to find out why?

It's hard to say with the control line being so faint.

I'd really recommend using the clear blue digital ovulation tests (the purple ones, not pink). They're so much clearer as you don't have to read lines. They're not the cheapest but even if you could just them for a month or two to get an idea of when you're ovulating

Yes they are all faint! I thought it could just be because they are cheap. I've not tried any expensive ones yet as I was hoping these would give me an idea before I start splashing out. Yes they are in date. I've had issues with my periods forever and only had my coil removed late last year, so could take a while to get back on track I guess? My plan is to wait a few more months and if no BFP or period, I'll get back to the docs!

Thanks for the reply. I've been putting off buying the more expensive ones, hoping these would give me an idea of when I'm ovulating.. but it seems to be causing more confusion than helping! How often would I need to test if I don't know my cycle?

I found the cheap tests did not work at all, you are better of getting the more expensive ones, cheap ones are a headache and waste of time

Half way through my cycle I can actually feel when I'm ovulating, feel a small twingle and also CM is different. But definitely get the clear blue test kit

I never ever used any expensive ones. I used cheap ones from eBay.

I used One Step tests from Amazon/eBay and lines were always easy to read. I have PCOS and even then they will worked.

Are you peeing on the stick directly instead of peeing in a cup and dipping? You should use pee after a 4 hour hold, not first urine.

I used the cheap one step ones when we were trying for number 2. They worked well so agree with previous poster you don't necessarily need expensive ones. Maybe those ones aren't working well though as the control is so light.

Maybe I've just not ovulated yet then.. I'm dipping and usually test during the day, sometimes twice in a day.

I found the easy at home test strips best with the premom app. I took them like three times a day at one point 🙈 but it worked! I liked the app because it gave you a definite number and you could see if they were getting higher or lower or peak

I felt like I never got a positive on the cheap sticks. Switched to Clear Blue and they are so much better.
