Hello everyone, I'm pregnant with my second child. It took 7 years to conceive my first one and I have had 5 chemical pregnancies. I was so happy as we fell pregnant with this one after 6 months of ttc. My last period was 21st March 2021. Me and DH had sex on 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th April. I had a positive ovulation test on the 3rd April. I started having elft side pain and spotting. Doctors sent me to hospital with suspected ectopic pregnancy. They did an internal exam which made me bleed afterwards. The next scan they had available was 5th may so I booked a private scan on 2nd May. At the private scan they were rude and asked if I was sure about my dates (I should of been 6 weeks) all they could find was a gestational sac measuring 7.2mm and a yolk sac. She said i was probably less than 5 weeks. I went in for my hospital ultrasound on the 5th May and they said everything is in the right place but they still couldn't see the fetal pole or heartbeat just the gestational sac and yolk sac and I have to go back again in another week. I can't wait that long so I've booked another private scan tomorrow on the 9th May. I feel very sick every day and sore breasts. Do you think they will be able to see something by tomorrow? I'm sorry for rambling on but the wait is killing me I just want to know if my baby is alright. Its making me very stressed and depressed.

Sounds very stressful. If I were you I'd cancel the private scan and wait for the NHS one. It's best to give it a bit of time (whilst certainly very anxiety inducing) for the baby to develop to get a more certain answer either way. You can save yourself some money that way and book a private scan for later on when there's more to see (all being well). It's virtually impossible to see whether everything is alright at 6 weeks, 7 gives a bit more certainty.

I can't cancel as have already paid I'm hoping I see something but I'm feeling doubtful
