Not 100% sure on due date (awaiting dating scan) thought I was 9weeks now but can hear babies heartbeat loud and strong with home Doppler and I’m massive!!!
Anyone have a guess at how far along I am?
Anyone else feeling really pregnant really early ????

You need a scan, one can't establish gestation with a doppler. How loud you can hear it depends on the position of the fetus. You also have to make sure it's not your own pulse that you're picking. It is far easier to find your own pulse than the fetal heartbeat at 9 weeks.

I was going off the fact they say you can’t hear the heartbeat with Doppler until 12weeks?
Definitely not my heartbeat/pulse either!
Just thought someone maybe a professional maybe here that could have a better idea from what I’ve said but thanks for your response

Dopplers can be very dangerous tbh. I’d leave it to the professionals.
Regarding being massive, it’s more than likely bloat.
No one can answer your question really, only a scan will.

I wouldn't rely on a home Doppler I've heard bad things about them tbh. I started showing really early so I had a visible bump by 10/12 weeks and I'm huge now at 31 🤣 I would check your dates as there's a possibility you could be further. But only a scan will tell x

Is this your first pregnancy OP? If not, that could be why you're feeling bigger earlier. If it is it could just be bloat at this stage.

I wouldn't trust the Doppler to be honest, they aren't recommended at home for good reason.

Is the 9 weeks going from your last period?

The only way you'll know for sure is a scan so either waiting for your 12 week one or you can get a private one sooner to put your mind at ease

Lou98 2nd pregnancy, last period was very light hence the confusion on possible dates -now I’ve suddenly popped out tummy wise too, it feels different this time I’m already uncomfortable!

I started using a Doppler at 9 weeks and it was pretty clear too. I was also quite big at 9/10 weeks but now I know it was just bloat is this your first baby?

Thefaveofboe it’s my 2nd - my boy is 3.9years now and I just do not remember feeling the same at all !!
I do feel bloated I have to say!
And already feel too full after a normal sized meal !!
And I think it’s that wishful thinking to be more pregnant as I’m then closer to finding out the sex - I’m never so impatient but just get over excited about that :)
I don’t mind what I have!

I loved using my doppler as well and used it from 9-10 weeks up to when I could feel flutters. It would take ages to find fetal heartbeat at 9 weeks though - it would often be muffled by the placenta or my own pulse. So it is possible although difficult to hear it at this gestation (and that when knowing what to listen for). I would find it one day and not the other etc.

In Britain dopplers are looked down on, OP, to say the least. A lot of threads concerning doppler use end up being full of posts condemning people for it. This happens because some people who used it didn't do their research and had bad outcomes due to being falsely reassured by dopplers when they really had to go get checked.

I found my baby's HB at 9 weeks. What part of your belly were you doppler-ing? If it was pubic level I suspect you're early on. I started to hear the HB around my belly button area around 17 weeks as uterus and baby were growing upwards. Only a scan will tell you definitely though!!! Xx

Hi. I'm new to this so please can anyone shed some light? I met my sperm donor on the 13th july and did the deed, i had a very light bleed on the 21st which wasn't my normal type of bleed. It was pastel pink in colour and was only there when i wiped and I've missed my period which was due on the 28th july. I have taken several pregnancy but they all have said negative. I am now on my 26th day of missed period. I have had bloods taken and have come back normal. I have had symptoms of pregnancy so what shall i do? I'm going crazy!

well your quite obviously a Karen aren’t you. You can see she quite obviously posted she’s new to this so instead of being a sarcy bitch maybe enlighten her what to do. And to say she’s obviously not pregnant that’s a very brutal thing to come out with considering she’s not had a period and she’s late and has symptons. She has negative tests including a blood test from the doctors.

Not all pregnancy tests and blood tests show pregnancy there are other revenues to go down.
