I recently found out I was pregnant but I had a c-section 10 months ago and was advised to wait to have another child until my child was 18months

I’m scared and don’t want to terminate my pregnancy... I don’t know anyone who has gotten pregnant soon after a c-section

But you will be having the second one when your child is around 18 months? Definitely no need to consider termination.

I got pregnant with my second when my first was 10 months old. I’d had an emergency c section first time round, and went onto have a perfect second pregnancy and a lovely calm c section.

I was never warned it was too soon. I was told that things take around 6 months to heal internally. But even then I’ve known people who have fallen pregnant only a few months after a c section and things were fine.

You’ll be absolutely fine but will likely be consultant led during this pregnancy, which is standard when you’ve had a c section.

Congratulations!

I got pregnant with this baby 10 months after emergency c section for my first. No one has batted an eyelid, regarding the gap or expressed any concerns. Will be having planned section with #2. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Are you a member of C Section UK on Facebook? If not, I'd recommend it. Ladies post this sort of thing all the time. Only an hour ago I read a post where a lady was pregnant a couple of months after section and there were loads of anecdotes from people. I've read about a lady who had two babies 10 months apart who were both sections and a lady who had two 11 months apart and that included a VBAC.
