Kicks at 17 weeks?!

I’ve felt the odd flutter on the inside since 15 weeks but to my surprise tonight when sitting on the sofa I felt the baby kick on the outside with my hand! I had my hand on my belly below the belly button and felt 3 small jabs, relatively light but definite.

I don’t think there’s anything else it could be but is this possible? I have an anterior placenta but I’m slim so I don’t know if that could have anything to do with it? It’s my first baby so not sure what to expect!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I've felt movements of sorts from around 16 weeks and at 19w4d there are definite kicks. I am also a slim build so I wonder if that has something to do with why I can feel it so early. This is also my first child.

My midwife asked me at 16 weeks if I had felt anything and at that point I hadn't but it's so definite now I've even got a video of my stomach moving!! It's so lovely to have something tangible to know baby is moving about Smile

Yes definitely possible, I felt kicks/jabs with my little boy at 16/17 weeks and could see his little movements from outside, he's a very active 9 week old now 😆 Also slim, so that may have had something to do with it

@GummyBear91 ah that’s amazing! I’m hoping to video some eventually too all being well 🤞 how far along are you now?

@2021expecting awww so cute! It must be something to do with being slim. I’m sure I would’ve been able to see it if I’d been looking at my belly, and I just happened to have my hand there to feel it at the right time which was amazing! When it happened I totally froze, such an amazing experience xx
