Canesten cream for thrush during pregnancy?

I've just bought the thrush combi creams (internal and external) and just read on the back it says not to use when pregnant.

I'd googled and seen that the cream is safe for pregnant women (especially since thrush is a wonderful pregnancy symptom)

Has anybody used this/been prescribed this whilst pregnant?

When I was pregnant I spoke with the doctor and they said it was ok to use the cream and pessary. I was worried that I would push it too far up so didn't really work. Maybe just have a word with your gp

I've recently been prescribed it. I was advised to insert the pessary with my fingers instead of the applicator. x

I was advised the same xx

They prescribed it to me and said use 3 rimes a day, as far as I can tell the canestan I got was exactly the same as a shop bought one, just free!

I was prescribed it when pregnant. It's the only time Iv ever had thrush.

LayingLow · 06/05/2021 21:45

Iv been using it and I'm 37+5

I have no idea what to do about the internal cream and have only been using the external one as it comes with a long applicator 🥴 I'm worried I won't be able to treat the actual thrush with just the external cream.

Has anybody used this? I've only read info on the pessary

Both the internal and external creams are fine in pregnancy
