Hi
I'm 19 weeks pregnant and for a few days have had thrush symptoms, itching and white odourless sticky discharge. Rang GP today she prescribed Caneston duo kit so a pessary and the cream. Am I ok using the pessary whilst pregnant? I feel if I just use the cream it won't get rid of the discharge? I did ask over the phone is this safe in pregnancy and she said yes.
This is my first pregnancy so I am double checking everything, if anyone has any information/experience about this it would be appreciated.

I used it when pregnant, should be fine

Might irritate the cervix and leave pinky discharge but that's normal

The pessary is fine, just insert it with your fingers as the applicator can be a bit forceful and you don't want to irritate your cervix. It's only the oral capsule you can't take when pregnant

Yes it's safe but use fingers rather than applicator to insert so it doesn't go too high up.

Thank you all for your replies! I will use the pessary as well now I feel reassured.
