12 week scan tests

Hiya!

Got my 12 week scan tomorrow, do they just do the scan and bloods for syndromes?
Already had my other bloods done.

Or do they do height, weight and blood pressure too?

At mine they weighed me, didn’t do height as I’d like to hope it hadn’t changed since midwife did it ha.
They took the bloods and also looked on the scan to help. I think they also take into consideration your age and history too. Told me it all looked okay on the day but it would be a call if things were needing further investigation or a letter if all fine.

I think every place is different. When I went to my scan it was just the scan and then taking bloods for the various tests. Obviously, the sonographer is just doing the scan and then a nurse will take the bloods, but I've heard from some on these boards that they combine the scan with a midwife appointment sometimes.

I had my weight and height taken at my very first midwife appointment which was a different time to the scan. And blood pressure only has been when I see the midwife.

My 12 week scan was scan with sonographer, weight and bloods by nurse. Bloods results we're telephoned a week or so later. BP has always been done at separate MW appointments.
