2nd baby, c-section or not?

I previously had an emergency csection with my son, 6 years ago due to him turning and being a big boy.

This time round, it seems this baby is going to be just as big if not bigger. I get to decide on the 34th week if I'd like to have a c section.

I'm not sure what to do as I've been told the scar can burst inside and I'd be rushed for an emergency c section.

Is there any mums out there that's had a c section and managed to give birth naturally with no problems 2nd time?
I know everyone is different.

I have the option of vbac or elcs this time as I had an elcs with breech twins last time, they followed 3 good vb's with singletons. My consultant has given me until 36 weeks to decide. I have very big babies but my consultant said that scar rupture risk is low so I am a good candidate for vbac. I am torn on what to do, dh wants me to go elcs but I'd rather avoid surgery if possible.
I think I'm going to ask my consultant to book an elcs for as late as possible and try vbac if I go in to labour before that date. Although I can see this baby going breech and forcing me to go cs anyway.

I’ve been having the same discussion with my consultant and have opted to book a section for 41 weeks then see what happens before. That way I have the option for a vbac but also avoid induction etc.
I’m hoping either way it will work out.

Interesting your consultant said scar rupture was rare, given how much it is gone on about I was beginning to think it was a sure thing!

I am more towards a selective c section, just because of what can happen. I still have no feeling where my scar is after 6 years so I have been told it's common for it to burst.
If I book a section it'll be done 38/39 weeks she has said.
My first baby was 9 13lbs and she is certain this baby will be just as big.
I just don't want to be rushed if I try pushing and it doesn't happen x

@Ohshitiveturnedintomymother the length of time between sections seems to be most important.
Mine was over 6 years ago now and healed well (eventually) which is why they think I am low risk.
