Low HgC at 4+6 weeks

I went for a blood test yesterday and they said that my HgC levels are 52. I asked the Nurse if this was low and she said yes. My app (which I use to track my periods and ovulation) says I must have conceived on the 15 th of March. I am going to have another blood test tomorrow morning and a scan. Have anyone had any experience of low HgC ? Just trying to hear some positive stories even though I know I need another blood test to really show what's happening.

Were you tracking ovulation with sticks? The apps work on averages and in my experience (of actually having my ovaries scanned) the app was completely inaccurate with regard to ovulation dates. Your next blood test should give a clearer picture. Good luck xx

So my first IVF, I was just over 50 aswell.
My clinic said anything over 50 and this stage was fine, sadly I had a MMC but I do know people who have had a low hcg and gone on to have a great pregnancy.
So it just really depends (sorry know this won’t help) you want to see the figures doubling that’s what they look for.

I was going to ask the same - if you’re only going off an app and not OPKs or BBT, the app won’t know. It’s just averages.

Hopefully your blood test will show that your rates are doubling. Prepare yourself for the scan - I had one at 6w and they could only see the two sacs, at 5w or less, you might not be able to see much at all.

Yes I was tracking with sticks and it says I ovulated on the 15th and had positive test sticks on the 13th and 14th.

I mean the 13th and 14th of March, this was when I had positive ovulation tests

@Edisnori March? Do you mean April? If it was 15 March you would be further than 4+6

Yes sorry I mean April! Sorry I am so worried. The reason why I went for the scan is because my partner and I had sex yesterday and then after I had some spotting, so went to A and E and they took my bloods which say HgC levels are 52.

The app is saying I am 4weeks and 6 days, with a 'rough' conception date of the 15th of April.

So worried :(

Spotting after sex can be quite common. Best of luck for your blood test, ovulation could well have occurred later than you think even with sticks. I have my fingers crossed for you xx

With my DS my levels were 77 at 6 weeks, I was actually closer to 5 weeks at the time, I was told they were low but that the most important thing was the HCG levels doubling when I had them rechecked a couple of days later, they did which was a relief. It’s so anxious waiting but everyone’s levels can vary so much, I hope everything works out x

Thank you Mayneeanextraroom, I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I have my bloods checked out. Wish I didn't have sex yesterday as the little bit of blood has just added to the panic . :(

I totally understand, I have had bleeding in my current pregnancy between weeks 4/5 and still have days now (week 8) when I spot, although it has calmed down. I’ve had spotting in all of my successful pregnancies (this being the worst and to be honest I’m still worried now) but trying to stay positive, let us know how you get on, I have everything crossed for you x

Its also just so hard to know how much bleeding is worrying . It doesn't seem to be a lot but every time I go to the toilet , I have a little heart attack :( Thank you for your support , I will let every one know tomorrow. Good to know I'm not alone

I have had positive pregnancy tests (5) with faint lines for 3 days
plus 1 digital says pregnant another digital says 1-2 weeks (meaning 3-4 OB pregnancy)
today had hgc blood - 23.1 and OB says its low for my dates
this means miscarriage/ectopic most likely?

i will redo blood test in 48hrs to see dynamics but still would love opinions
