same here- i can feel some hardness though but first pregnancy and midwife reassured me some women don't show until 20 weeks onwards

Is it your first pregnancy?

Garman · 05/05/2021 09:01

That's normal, baby is still small and low down, it doesn't suddenly go from flat stomach to big rounded bump.

StrawberriCream · 05/05/2021 09:07

This is my 4th pregnancy and at 16weeks the only noticible difference was I couldn't do up my work trousers and my boobs where slightly bigger 😂 honestly don't worry it will come in time.... Currently 39+6 and have a large bump

AyyX · 05/05/2021 09:12

With my first pregnancy I didn’t show properly until 5/6 months I would say.
Now 2nd pregnancy, at first trimester it just looked like fat too. Now 39+3 and I’m basically a whale 🙃

Glad to hear am not the only one who just looks amd feels fat even my other half says i dont have a bump just look chubby 😂 everyone i kmow or see always has lovely nice bumps by now which was making me feel not normal and worry. Hopefully feel more comfortable once i start feeling baby and actually get a bump instead of just fat and rolls

First pregnancy here and I didn't start showing much until around 23 weeks then had a couple of weeks where I think if you didn't know and I wore baggy clothes you'd just think I was a bit chunky. Now 29 weeks and have had what I would call a proper bump for about 3 weeks.

Laurenh1995 · 05/05/2021 20:19

@edithgrantham ah really yeah i just look chubbier than i used to, im only like 5ft 2 and like 7stone 10 so thought i would of shown alot earlier with me being small and petite but alot of people seem to be saying thats not the case usally first pregant tskes longer

Left picture is 22/23 weeks with DD1. Right picture is 21 weeks with DD2. A lot of women don’t show for a long time especially with first babies. Those proudly sporting ‘bumps’ at 10 weeks are often proudly cradling their bloat. I wouldn’t worry too much.

I’m 26 weeks and have had a bump of some sort from 20 weeks but if I hadn’t told people I could totally have hid it. It’s only been in the last week or so that I’ve actually started to look like a proper pregnant person and my bump is more like a bump and a lot harder! I expected that you had this big round bump from about 12 weeks or earlier 😂

mamaatthegym · 06/05/2021 18:32

My stomach was completely flat at 16 weeks...didn’t get a bump until 24 weeks which I could have easily concealed with lose clothing if I wanted to but decided to wear tight vests as I really wanted to show it off Grin I don’t think mine was really visible until 7 months but I carry really wide rather than to the front! My butt grew more than my bump lol x

Hi op firstly congratulations.
Secondly with my first daughter I didn't show until I was 5 months. Then 6 years later when I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter I showed 4/5 months. Now another 6 years I'm currently pregnant with my 3rd baby and only 6+weeks and I have a belly(my 6 year old daughter says I have a grinch belly) 🤣🤣
