Anyone else measure big?
What was the outcome?

Have measuring 3 weeks ahead since first measured but no growth scans as yet.

Midwife on Friday and she’ll book me a growth scan and consultant appointment, been told I may be induced or offered a C Section.

Not me personally but know of someone who measured bigger, she was induced at 39.

That seems likely, thankyou for replying. Smile

have you had a glucose tolerance test?

PrincessPrawn · 04/05/2021 21:46

In case it helps, I was measuring about 3 weeks ahead too; they started talking about c-sections or induction, but went for a growth scan and the baby was actually bang on the 50th centile. Still a chance your baby isn’t big at all! :)

I was measuring 6 weeks ahead by the end. Referred for a growth scan- baby estimated 7lb and somewhere between the 10th and 25th centile (on my personalised growth chart). Baby arrived less than a week later at 9lb3oz which is bang in 50th for me. Not always accurate and not a reason to induce or c section unless other concerns ie GD, very high maternal BMI etc. I now refer to growth scans as looking for problems as that seems to be all they managed to do with me. None of which turned out to actually be problems 🙄

@Teakind yep, all fine & everything else healthy and as it should be too. Smile

That’s good then. My GD was picked up at 32 weeks when my DS was measuring big.

I think stomach measurements are notoriously unreliable for accurately measuring the size of the baby though. Hopefully your growth scan will give you a better idea ASAP.
