I had a MMC and and ERPC 2 weeks ago. Pregnancy sticks are still showing up positive and the test is 1-2 weeks. I finally stopped bleeding and did an 2 ovulation tests this morning one stick one digital. Both were positive. How is this possible??

So sorry for your loss @Conundrum12345 Annoyingly ovulation tests also detect HCG so if your pregnancy tests are still positive it's probably picking up leftover pregnancy hormones. After my miscarriage I was getting very strong positives on OPKs for a couple of weeks even though the pregnancy test line was quite faint. They seem to be very sensitive to HCG. I used them every day to watch the lines go lighter so that when they got darker again I could be sure it was picking up LH and it was definitely ovulation

Thanks for your message. I didn't know that. We don't want to try this cycle, so I suppose its ok to DTD around now.

@Conundrum12345 That being said you can ovulate with a very small amount of HCG in your system (although I don't think clearblue digitals are that sensitive) so I wouldn't rule that out if you really want to avoid pregnancy. Maybe keep testing over the next couple of days and see what happens. It's such a difficult and confusing time! Xx

Thanks so much. It is! I just really want to get AF back before we start trying again. Hopefully my emotions will have calmed by then too!
