Indent lines FRER..shocking!

So last month I got an awful indent on FRER that I swore looked positive - only had the one and rest were negative and AF showed up, was devastated. This month me and my partner are TTC again, I don’t know why I didn’t learn my lesson but had more FRERs. I’ll attach the pictures, took 2, both had the faintest pink line that showed up within 3 minutes. I ended up taking one apart (I know it’s invalid after this) but was just to see if I could see the indent.

The lighting isn’t great in both pics but could see more in person.

Has anyone else had this with FRER recently? Is there maybe a better early detection test to take?

I am only 11dpo, AF due Friday so every possibility it could be the start of something, but I got this yesterday (first one) and second one today which isn’t any more clear. Felt like it would be more positive at this point, only going with my experience in my last two!

Keep looking at posts saying indent has no colour but last month I had the same thing and it was just an indent. Unless I’m going crazy lol!

Yes I did the month before o was pregnant and also two weeks before I got a positive )I ovulated twice). Sometimes before I even did the test I could see the line which is obviously where they paint the antibodies onto the strip. I guess it's hard not to show something on these test but o know the disappointment well.
Actually I was on my way to look under a light, like I had done with all the others when I saw my real positive develop and I couldn't believe my eyes it was sooo clear.
So i think there's always a risk to testing early. I can't really see the lines on the photos. Do you think it has colour?

I've never had problems with any shop bought tests. Did have a bunch of false negatives on some Internet cheap strups with our 2nd child though. I do like the freedom tests, cheap and been reliable for me. Sell them at asda. Withcurrent pregmancy I tested almost a week before af due and test looked negative but when emptying the bin later I looked at it again and there was a second line. Retested 2 days after af due and got a strong positive on pink dye, 3+ on CB digital a week after that.

There have been a lot of posts on here with indents showing on the big brand tests lately. I think those are very common when you look at them after the time limit on the instructions. If you don't get a clear positive then always discard it as a negative and try again, try not to test too early too.

@Horehound yeah there was deffo colour to the first one yesterday, second one today I’m not 100% sure if there is. I didn’t have to hold either under a light to see it and my partner could as well but I suppose if it’s not as clear as day I should just disregard!

@Chelyanne I’ve always been fine with clear blue, I never used frer until last month, but I’m getting them off Amazon rather than the shop so maybe that might be the issue? I’ve done freedom before and got a BFP in December as well 3 days before any other test! Might stick to one I used to use just to save any confusion!

@LividJabber I was thinking that. I’ve had two miscarriages in the last year, but didn’t know about the chemicals until I googled it! Not sure as only had the one day of these tests (same batch) and the rest was negative.

I know it’s hard, I’m in the TWW myself at the mo but just wait until missed period? I’ve only ever taken a pregnancy test after my missed period and so always just had a very definite positive and no am I/aren’t I stress ?

I have done hundreds and hundreds of tests and don’t believe in indents. There’s no science behind them.

If there was a line, there was HCG. My last chemical was only there for one afternoon, but having been pregnant several times (one baby) I knew I had symptoms. Early testing is a headmash.

Completely agree @LividJabber, don’t know why I did it to myself!

Just need to wait it out now. I’m hoping it turns in to something but because of last month got my doubts x

Hey girls, sorry I’m new to this again it’s been 4 years since I had my little girl so feel like a first timer again.

Ttc since October with fiancé and have had a few symptoms, shooting pains in boobs and down below and excess saliva in my mouth recently! Im due AF on the 20th and have had X3 frer with either very faint positives or indent lines and I don’t know which as had some light brown spotting today when I wipe. (Sorry tmi) if I can figure out how to attach a picture il do all three tests bare with me but any advice welcome! Xx

do these look like indents or v v v faint lines? 9dpo today and I’m not sure what I make of them! Hopefully you can see on the pics!
