Hi. Just looking for some resurrance from anyone to put my mind at rest. This is my second pregnancy and second time I've developed cholestasis. First time think was diagnosed at 33/34 weeks. Very well looked after. Staff were great at explaining things to me. Was up being monitored with bloods taken every few days. On medication. In the end induced at 37 weeks. This time seems to be a different story. Bloods taken at 34 weeks. Bile acid result was high but not ridiculous. I've to be started on urso again (which studys show may not even do anything) they don't want to see me at all until 37 weeks. This will be to take another blood test and have a plan for induction date maybe 38 or 39 weeks. I can't understand how they can let me go from 34 to 37 weeks without a single blood test. I've phoned my midwife too and she just said I see they've booked you in for 37 weeks and nothing else said. I'm happy to accept but how can it be so different from one pregnancy to the next. Is it covid related. Just a bit miffed no one seems to have time to explain or talk to me about it properly. Makes me panic a bit. How will we know if bloods shoot off the scale in the meantime. I should have asked the doctor yesterday but was a bit stunned and to busy listening to where she wanted me to go to book appointment. Not really sure if I should try to talk to someone again or just accept it.
