Hi all i’m really scared please help me and share your stories please .

I am 17 weeks and i have been admitted into hospital and they have confirmed that my water are leaking i’m wating to see a dr and have a scan and waiting for my blood results to come back .

They have started me on antibiotics.

i am really scared can’t stop thinking of the worst outcome my heart is broken into a million pieces.

i have had a previous miscarriage and a termination of pregnancy at 20 weeks last year due to a fetal abnormality.

The thought of loosing the baby is killing me i can't take this pain anymore .

Has anyone been in a similar situation and delivered ??

I've never been in this situation OP but just wanted you to know someone was here. Thinking of you. Hopefully someone with more experience will be along soon.

I haven’t but i was in hospital the same time as a friend of a friend who’s waters were leaking about 19 weeks? I think her baby was delivered at 27/28 weeks so needed a bit of help with breathing when she was born but is otherwise fine and healthy!

Hi OP
Sorry to hear you're going through this.
Where in the country are you? The reason I ask is there's an incredible pre term labour clinic at Guys and St Thomas hospital in London. Professor Shennan who runs it is just amazing.

I do know of a lady whose waters broke at a similar time to yours and she went on to deliver a little girl safely at around full term. She blogged about her experience on Instagram her profile is winging_twinning and her name is Taylor.

Having been in a similar situation to you myself in second trimester I know how scary this all is. Sending you all the hope and best wishes.

I have always gone through his lovely secretary Debbie. [email protected] I know that they recently said they needed GP referrals but given you're already under NHS care they may be able to take you on from your hospital. Pop Debbie an email, she usually responds fairly quickly.

Here's more info on the clinic if you need.

Hi
Sorry you are going through this =(
This happened to me last year at 15+3. There are so many variables that can change the outcome so hopefully you will be seeing the fetal medicine doctor who will scan you and come up with a plan of action. It’s good you have been put on antibiotics, if you search PPROM on Facebook there are some really helpful private pages with questions and experiences shared everyday.
