Breech baby

I'm 34+4 second baby
My first wss born vaginally at 35+3 after induction for pre eclampsia. She was always head down.
This baby was head down at 30+6 growth scan
At 32+6 scan breech
At 33+6 midwife appointment she said breech still and I don't think this baby has turned
I still have a hard lump high up and am feeling fetal hiccups high up 1-2 times a day as well.
Baby moving well though
Getting a little bit worried and I really feel like she isn't going to turn.
I do not want a ecv.

I feel panicky as my first labour was only 3 hours that if I went into prem labour I wouldn't make it in time for a section and something terrible would happen due to baby being breech.
I also feel worried about cord prolapse and why she is breech? I read about the cord being to short/around the neck?
I also feel worried about the possible hip problems associated with breech babies

And also very uncomfortable. A lot of pressure on my diaphragm and baby is so high up and the head is very easy to feel when she's moving around

I feel your pain. My now 2 y 8 m DS was breech. I had the ECV.. obviously totally your choice and you can decline it, but it was totally fine. I had it at 37 weeks. I mean it didn't work!! But about 50% do so I was glad I tried.

I had a planned section at 39 weeks. No hip issues at all with my DS, and he was really long and really squashed for the last few weeks of pregnancy.

Still loads of time for baby to turn. But people used to say that to me, he never did!! But there's still time.

No need to worry.

The baby may still turn but as you go further it gets more unlikely. They don't have enough space to turn.

My 2nd was breech & was delivered by section - the section was planned but i went into labour early, I could have delivered vaginally (& would have preferred to) but doctors insisted on section.

I think given you had an earlier birth due to pre-eclampsia, you'll need to discuss options with your midwife / doctor.

There's no need to worry. They may prefer you to have a section, given your history.

Nothing 'terrible' is going to happen to your baby. If you did go into labour early (no reason to think you would), they'll assess you & decide on section or to deliver vaginally.

They'll check hips carefully - no reason to worry there. My baby was fine.

In all, it's just a different position in the womb & once you've talked through options, it should ease your concerns.

Good luck.

My baby was breech. I declined the ecv, I just couldn't face it. I was told at the hospital that if it had been a second pregnancy they would have let me try to deliver vaginally but as she was my first they would prefer me to have a section so that's what I went with.
I know what you mean about the head being high. My baby didn't drop down at all and by the end I couldn't sit straight as her head was so high into my ribs. I had to sit at an angel to try and relieve the pain. Breathing was also a nightmare.

I feel your pain OP I'm currently 20 weeks and have a huge fear of needing a c section before even getting pregnant! My mum had her first baby breech and delivered vaginally but said she wishes the doctors had insisted on a c section as it wasn't pleasant to say the least.

I have read that frequently walking up and down stairs helps to encourage baby to turn head down so maybe you could try that? On the plus side if you have to have a c section I'm sure a planned one with be a much nicer experience than an emergency. It will be over quickly and you'll have your lovely baby!

At this point I just want what is safest for baby :)

I walk about six miles a day Monday to Friday but she is definitely a pickle this one
