8 weeks pregnant bleeding

Hi this is such a sad message and need some advice. I'm exactly 8 weeks pregnant and since last week had pink spotting which throughout the days became more darker when wiped. Today morning I had red blood when I wiped with a little bit of small clot. Im worried if I am having a miscarriage. My scan is on Wednesday and I my breasts are not as sore or tender as they were last week. Any advice please?

@Helpneeded2 could you contact your local hospitals early pregnancy unit so they could maybe get you in tomorrow instead for a scan?

@Bexboo1 thank you for your reply I have an appointment on Wednesday but I think its a miscarriage as my bleeding is becoming more. I'm soo upset and gutted

Are you filling a pad now?

@Helpneeded2 I know how you feel as it's currently happening to me but I can't go for my scan until next week as I'm too early on. If the bleeding is not heavy and only when you wipe try to stay positive as it's actually really common for bleeding in first trimester and has happened to a couple of people I know when they wiped too. Speak to your midwife in the morning see if she can get you in earlier

@Sunny1112 thanks for your reply no the pad isn't full its just staining. I am just thinking the worse is happening. I know I should be positive but I have had 3 miscarriages in the last 3 years. All before 3 months.

@Bexboo1 im really sorry to hear your going through this too. I feel your pain as much as my own. I keep thinking if it's me who is doing things wrong...eg seating on heated car seat when I drive...but the weird thing is I started folic acid last week and this may sound crazy im thinking if that is the cause of this..??

I had three miscarriages last year one after the other. I was referred to the miscarriage unit but it was closed due to Covid. I spoke to my gp and they did some blood tests and my blood pressure and found I had very low iron and high blood pressure. For three months I took extra strong iron tablets and 150mg of aspirin and now I'm 28 weeks pregnant.

I know your symptoms might not be the same but it's worth investigating with your go. Also the requirement to be referred to the miscarriage unit is three miscarriages so it's really worth investigating that too. They also for first twelve weeks gave me hormone pessaries all becausei was referred.

It's horrendous and the worst worst feeling but don't give up there are ways through this x

@Helpneeded2 aww you haven't done anything wrong. Did your last miscarriages start out the same way? Thank you. I hope yours is just some hormonal bleeding and is nothing serious. Sending you love x

@Littlepaws18 im sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages...but glad your pregnancy is going well now...and hope you all the best. I am going to discuss all this when I go to the scan on Wednesday and also make an appointment with the Gp to get referred to get everything checked. Good luck with everything hun x

@Bexboo1 thank you soo much for your positive comments. I seriously feel like crap and just keep thinking its just not fair that we have to suffer like this. I guess god knows best.

Sadly I miscarried a few days ago. Blood was getting heavier and clots were getting bigger. I miscarried at home :( .... not a nice feeling at all.
