I'm currently 5wk6d & for last couple days I've had extreme nausea, no actual vomiting yet but a constant sick feeling, a bit dizzy too, feel like crap!

I have a dd who will be 8 in the summer & 2 recent mc's, both around the 6 week mark. I had sickness with my dd but only in evening & didn't start until wk 8 or so & was manageable, don't remember feeling this bad!

Anyone else & can anyone offer any remedies?? I'm 43 as well so needless to say worried about everything with age & past history of mc!

Congrats, the sickness is a positive sign!

I was knocked out by MS and what helped me was lying on my left side and eating little and often - the plainest food possible - buttered toast, digestives, crumpets.

Vitamin B6 tablets also helped.

Good luck xx

@gizmo167 congrats on your pregnancy! I'm also 43 and currently 30 weeks pregnant - in this and my previous pregnancy 2 years ago I had the sort of constant 24hr nausea and hungover feeling you describe, literally starting from 4.5 weeks on. The vomiting kicked in at about 6.5 weeks. The only things I find that helped were lots of crushed ice drinks or sucking on ice cubes, getting as much sleep as possible (it's far worse when you're tired), and also sucking on those little 'traffic light' lollipop sweets if you know the ones I mean? Not very healthy but they were literally the only thing that got me through mornings at work!

Also cyclizine from the GP when it got unbearable at around 8-9 weeks!

Thank you both @ttcwithpcos1 and @SamoyedFan123 good to know its normal! Think it'll all be about finding what eases it!

Sipping ice cold Diet Coke helped me.

I was so nauseas from when i found out i was pregnant and then gained some vomiting aswell a little later on. Luckily it seems to be easing a little now at 17 weeks. I found eating small amounts but frequently helped and also things like rice cakes and bread sticks.
Congratulations on your pregnancy Smile
