Venicci vs Cybex Prams?

Does anyone have either of these?! Any comparative reviews out there? They don't seem to be models which are typically compared on google, and the only video I can find on YouTube comparing them is not in English unfortunately.

The Venicci Tinum SE is black with rose gold highlights, and the Cybex Priam also comes in black with rose gold highlights 😂 I think they look relatively similar... but I prefer the styling of the Priam. (I also prefer the price of the Tinum SE! There seems to be about £600 of a difference 🙈🙈🙈)

Just wondering what the actual difference is in terms of quality, useability, etc etc. Is Cybex a much better make than Venicci? Currently pregnant and an FTM so please be gentle!

Things I'm looking for so far are:

  • travel system with stroller / car seat
  • ease of folding
  • carry cot suitable for overnight sleep
  • panoramic ventilation

...all of which both seem to tick the box for.

Aesthetic is important to me, but I don't want to be ripped off either lol. Any advice or good review sites to check out gratefully received!

I have the cybex priam, I saw it in the store and instantly loved it.
Granted, I’ve not had my baby yet so my views aren’t too credible, but in terms of what you are looking for, it ticks the boxes.
It’s a complete travel system and the car seat just clicks on the base (we went with the cybex cloud z seat which is bloody brilliant, it spins on the base and also has a lie-flat feature).
Folding has seemed easy enough from the few times I’ve tried it and I’m sure after more use it will just become even easier.
The carry cot is one of the biggest ones you can get so it is appropriate for overnight sleeping and you can unzip the sides around the head so it has all-round ventilation.
As a whole it’s really manoeuvrable and can’t wait to start using it. Yes it is expensive (ours was just over £1k with the car seat) but it’s my first baby and we weren’t paying!

The indie pram shops near me all seem to have very attractive deals for the Venicci, so I see a lot of them about our local town.

One thing I’ve noticed is that you very very very rarely see babies being pushed about in the older baby seat as opposed to the carrycot, which rings alarm bells for me.

Htp320 · 03/05/2021 08:40

I have a cybex balios s and I love it- we have done miles and miles and miles with it, both with the carrycot and seat unit. Cybex car seats are also up there with the safest in most crash tests if you’re looking at a bundle.

The Priam is gorgeous but I wasn’t going to pay that much (but I would’ve if I could’ve!).

I had a Britax travel system with no1 and the cybex blows it out of the water in all areas. I had swapped to a stroller by 7 months but can’t see us doing that with the balios, it will be her one and only pushchair other than a smaller stroller for holidays.

Luckyelephant1 · 03/05/2021 09:49

Have you looked at them both in person? We didn't go for either of them in the end but the Balios looks much better quality than the Venicci. In fact the Venicci looked really cheap in quality and a bit tacky.

Alicespring · 03/05/2021 10:04

I've got the venucci titum (baby not here to put in it yet!) But it was the best for lightweight and very smooth over all kinds of ground I found, I need it for being up at a farm with my horse so that was my main reasons for getting it

riotlady · 03/05/2021 10:10

We had the cybex balios and it was great- quite rugged, would go over all terrain, easy to steer and I really appreciated that the handle was adjustable as DP and I are both quite tall. We used it a baby carrycot right through to a pushchair when she was a toddler, although by that time I would have preferred something lighter tbh.

DD slept in the carrycot for camping and nights away no bother

@Nat4392 If it's just over £1k with the car seat I'll be delighted! Prices I'm looking at online are like £1500, it seems to be sold out in JL now. The Venicci one I'm looking at is a special edition so comes in at around £850 with car seat. When are you due? Good luck with your LO 🥰

@Luckyelephant1 I've seen the Venicci in person - it's a special edition, so might be different from others, but I thought the quality looked good. I do much prefer the look of the Cybex though, I have to say, though I've only seen it online so far - have an appointment this week with a stockist to go have a look and talk about pricing.

Here’s where I got mine, it’s still on the same offer, it doesn’t include the car seat base which we got separately.

I’m 36 weeks so anytime this month! When are you due?

crabette · 03/05/2021 11:46

@Nat4392 Oh amazing, thank you!!!! And good luck! I'm not due til October so plenty of time (I think! 😂)

I was the same as you!!! Get the venicci! We have its amazing x

ImbarbaraB · 03/07/2021 11:49

I bought the cybex Priam in 2017 for my first baby.
It’s now done 2 babies and looks as good as new and I love it today as much as I did when it was new

If I was choosing again today I’d buy the Priam

It’s going to be sold at the end of summer and I imagine I will get maybe £200 back for it at least so it’s not been a bad investment financially having done 2 children and still being worth something

Flittingaboutagain · 03/07/2021 11:52

Hi. I have the rose gold Priam over the Balios for the all terrain wheels. I love it. The carrycot is so comfy it is the only surface my prem baby can tolerate other than on top of us....hates her Moses basket and the next to me crib! Also it comes in stunning designs. I wouldn't say it is lightweight at all. I found someone from a baby shop in the UK review it and see if it went in their boot too, and then looked up their car boot dimensions to compare to our car.

Bex000 · 03/07/2021 12:04

We have the cybex mios which is a great pram and we wished we had brought it with the travel system at the start rather than stupidly shelling out on a silvercross. It folds easily is compact so fits easily in the car but has reasonable suspension so fine on country paths as well as round town. We had a wheel incident on tree roots down a towpath but sent new wheels in a couple of days.
Look for last years designs as they often have good reductions and you can update with a new seat pack if you want, these are sold separately. Also cybex car seat is a life saver

Nat4392 · 03/07/2021 14:06

@crabette yes she arrived 28th May - I still recommend the pram now I’m using it!

thebookworm1 · 03/07/2021 14:50

We got the venicci pure cloud after falling in love with it in the shop. Some of the cheaper venicci lines look a little, well, cheaper, but that lines looks absolutely gorgeous and quality. The shop owner told us she'd bought venicci's for all her children as she felt they gave the best value. It certainly is easier to take apart / put together and feels very stable.

It's ultimately down to personal taste. I'm not a fan of the carrycot design on the cybex, but it really is down to what you prefer the look of! Ultimately, both will do the job.

ChuckMater · 03/07/2021 14:57

I have a venicci and really love it. I was really gutted when we swapped to a stroller for DS1 but happy in using it again now for DS2. Suspension, easy to push, doesnt struggle with any terrain, cup holder, easy to put together and put down. Great when you change to a seat for world facing or parent facing. Can clip the car seat onto the wheels. Changing bag can clip onto the pram rather than hanging from the handle. Aesthetically pleasing. In the carry cot, there's an incline function so baby can be on a 3 point incline if they don't want to lay flat or are refluxt etc. Absolutely recommend. Think we got ours around £600 3 years ago.

Grognonne · 03/07/2021 15:04

I have the Priam and I love it. Looks great (got the rose gold and black). The bassinet is so soft and I like that it has the mesh vents so they can see out and provide much needed ventilation in the summer. I’ve not heard of the other one you mentioned, so I can’t compare, but highly recommend the Priam. We also have the Cybex car seat and use it with the pram, so useful when you pop to the shops in the car.

Sister542 · 18/11/2021 19:08

Hi has anyone got the Venicci pure and what are your reviews on it?

Fleur405 · 18/11/2021 19:12

We have a cybex mios which also comes in rose gold along (we have chrome and navy) with the cybex cloud z car seat - been very happy with it as it’s lightweight and easy to fold but I felt some of the other lightweight city style pram looked a little cheap/flimsy.
