Pain during sex

Hi everyone,
I'm 9wks+5 and last night my husband and I were having sex, sorry about major tmi but we weren't doing doggie or legs in the air or anything, just dear safe old missionary, when he gave a thrust (god so Mills & Boon but how else to describe?!) and I got major abdominal pain, not just up one side as I've always got occasionally (pre-preg) when he's gone to deep but shooting pain all up and around stomach. Had a break, pain left and we carried on, no more pain. Now I know the baby's meant to be safe and protected etc but could this possibly have damaged the baby or the mucus plug that's so important? Haven't had bleeding or anything but can't stop worrying. Thanks for any advice!

I doubt he has caused any real damage but maybe get him to be a bit more careful in future. Due to a suspected miscarriage early in my pregnancy we were told to stop having sex for 6 weeks until I reached 12 weeks.

If you are really worried, give your doc a quick call but I am sure you will be ok.

Thanks Daisy, seeing MW tomorrow so will check with her. She's not my favourite person though so thought I'd use MN first! He's always pretty careful (in fact he's terrified now I'm pregnant!) and as I said, perfectly normal position, so that's why I was a bit confused.
