subchorionic hematoma

Hi all has anyone had a subchorionic hematoma? I’m 11+3 and was in a&e on Sunday due to a heavy bleed. They couldn’t scan me until Tuesday so I went for a private scan on Monday. The private scan saw a very small bleed and said to keep an eye on it. On Tuesday at my nhs scan they couldn’t see any reason for the bleed so it was good news. I’ve been spotting brown ever since. This is my 5th pregnancy after 4 recurrent miscarriages and I’ve never gotten this far so I’m extremely anxious. I’ve got another private scan later today just to check. But I just wanted some reassurance x

I had one in my second pregnancy, a really heavy bleed at 11 weeks then bled like a light period until around 20 weeks. The rest of my pregnancy went absolutely fine with no problems at all.

@jennyt82 that’s very reassuring thank you x

Yes I had one during my 12wk scan. I felt leaking, and when I stood up she said you're bleeding. I went to the toilet and passed a large clot. Came back into the scan and thought that was it. The Dr rescanned and said baby was ok.

I bled heavily for a few days. Kindly the Dr (private) had me back 4 days later to reassure me and all was well. I had 2 small subchrionic haematoma.

The brown blood continued for a few weeks. I had no real cramping or pain.

By 20wks scan there was no sign and I'm now 34wks.

I did call my MW and they said if the bleeding gets heavier or I was in pain go to A&E otherwise they would speak to me at 16wks.

Good luck OP x

Hey I’ve got one. Currently 20 weeks and have been bleeding like a period since week 10 with four massive bleeds in between.

I have one, I’m 10 weeks at the moment but have had on and off bleeding since 4 weeks. The nurse said it will either go on it’s own or come out naturally. Nothing they can do but is stressing me out as have had several miscarriages

@BurningBenches I’m glad yours cleared up! That’s fantastic news.
@bbb2019 I’m sorry to hear that, it must be stressful for you! I hope it clears up soon!
@4Minions2CallMyOwn that’s exactly what I’ve been told too. It’s such an anxious time being pregnant after loss. This definitely doesn’t help.
My scan this afternoon went well baby measuring a few days ahead and bleed is 1.3cm so tiny really. I hope it sorts itself out
