Pregnancy Test Confusion.

Hey,

last night got in from a busy day, done a test and thought nothing of it, had a bath and checked again and it was positive- did another test and it came back positive.

I waited until this morning then and the line is very very faint.

I'll post a picture -
The top 2 tests are last nights and the bottom one is this morning, I feel like it's a negative.

I am only 8/9dpp so still very early, has this happened to anyone else and have it ended in pregnancy?

Hello!

I used these types of tests early on in this pregnancy (12+4 now) and got varied results! Some stronger, some barely visible.

It may be worth getting a clear blue or a first response test, wearing a couple of days and using the first urine of the day and also to avoid leaving the test longer than you should before reading it, to avoid any confusion!

It’s easier said than done, I wanted to test all the time haha! Good luck :)

Some people get darker tests in the evening rather than morning, maybe that's your answer as well.

I always got stronger test results in the afternoon/evening. My fmu tests were always my lightest!

I’d get a frer and try that. The top test does look very positive!

@bookwitch13 i took another one this afternoon and im pretty sure its negative, maybe my urine wasnt strong enough im really not sure. How many DPO did you get a stronger positive? im only 8/9dpo so i am very confused and anxious about it all.

i have got A FR here, but i was going to wait and test tonight, thats when i got my positive last night.

@Moominmiss Thank you, when i first seen it i had to double check, i thought i was seeing things. So im confused as why my tests are getting lighter.

Just wait until your period is due & use a more definitive test.

Not meaning it specifically to you OP, but I just don't get why so many people on here test so early & frequently. I've had 3 DC (& experienced MC so I do know how tough it can be) but I tested at 10 dpo minimum as the earliest, then would wait 2 days at least before testing again.

@amylouwilliams I’m really sorry, I didn’t track ovulation etc I just knew about 2 days before my period was due it was getting stronger :)
These tests I had left over from previous pregnancy but the FRER and Clearblue are so so much more accurate and will give you a clearer answer.

how long have you been TTC if you dont mind me asking&did you have any symptoms early on?

i will re test either tonight or tomorrow, i am keeping everything crossed.

@amylouwilliams I came off contraception in September last year, fell pregnant before I had a period - unfortunately had a miscarriage in early Nov (blighted ovum)

I had retained product and bled for about 2 months. We then waited for one period, weren’t actively trying to conceive and got pregnant in Feb! We are very very lucky. We are 12+4 now. I was quite lucky with my symptoms early on- just had a bit of bloating and tiredness. Most of my symptoms came on around 9 weeks! X
