2 stone weight-gain 29 weeks

I've gained nearly 2 stone and am only 29 weeks pregnant . For context, at 9 week booking in I was 8st 6lbs and 5'7" fully clothed in the afternoon and I just weighed myself now and I'm 10st 4lb (before dinner). I think I was a couple of lbs less than normal at the booking in appointment because I'm grieving the death of my mum and have been so upset but still, 2 stone!

Whilst I am eating reasonably healthily I can't resist 3 or 4 squares of Lindt dark milk chocolate each night and my portion sizes are enormous. They match my 6'5" husband who eats a lot!

I look at NHS and feel like I'm already at max weight-gain with 10 weeks to go but I would feel really hungry if I reduced my portion sizes.

I'm not sure how much I gained with DD as I never weighed myself and I really I hadn't just weighed myself today either!

Please share your experiences and whether you changed anything? I categorically do not want to start restricting food but at the same time don't want to affect the baby by behaving like a lard-arse Grin

I didn’t change anything, mind I didn’t weigh myself just let my MW and I was like a balloon on my labour photos 😂
Your also carrying and retaining a lot of water so don’t worry!
Everything in moderation op and you can’t go wrong 😊

I put on 4 stone when I was pregnant (I went from 8 stone to 12!). I wasn't eating crazily, just a bit of extra padding, baby and water retention.

I lost a massive portion of it within a few weeks of having my baby, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Don't focus too much on the guidelines, if you're eating mostly a healthy balanced diet with a few reasonable treats you'll be fine.

I put on 4 stone last time and I'm looking like that's about what I'll be at on this one too. I think I just hold lots of water, have big babies and big boobs in pregnancy haha.

Almost lost it all before getting pregnant, was 8kg off my pre pregnancy weight. Enjoy your pregnancy 🥰
