The long wait for labour

Does anyone want to join me in the longgg wait for labour? I’m 38 weeks but have been having braxton hicks for WEEKS which aren’t doing anything to my cervix. I’m exhausted and just want my waters to burst so I can get it over with and meet baby! Anyone else?

My baby girl arrived on Sunday morning (40+3) after a relatively short and straightforward labour. She’s 7lb 13oz and we’re all doing fine. Hope those of you still waiting aren’t waiting for too long x

Had a bad morning, they've given me antibiotics that make me sick 😬 I'm tired and emotional 🙈 I cried because I'm worried the baby will be so late and then they will induce me and then that won't work and I will end up with a C-section 😬🙈🙁basically just working myself up a bit now

Oh no, sorry to hear that. How are you feeling physically? Try to think positive. How many weeks are you now?

@namechangefornaming1 I'm now 41 weeks.... Feeling a bit better I think mentally today, got a midwife appt at 3pm so will talk to her then. Physically feel fine, bit tired sometimes but nothing dramatic

Anyone else still not have a baby?! I'm now 10 days late, absolutely no sign, twinges or anything. I'm exhausted

No baby here too! 40+4 today. No signs, nothing.

@Moorelewis as this is baby #4 people can't seem to believe that it's so late. Well it is. Sorry. Yes I've tried whatever old wives tale your going to tell me. Wish people would stop asking me if I've had the baby when they can see me!!!

@StrawberriCream ah this is baby 2 for me so not quite the same! Still frustrating though and the longest I've been pregnant, DS came just after 40 weeks after induction. I'm sick of the 'helpful' tips too. I feel like turning my phone off.

Also very bored of people asking if I've had the baby yet, or if I don't text back within 5 mins I get "oh I thought you were off having the baby!"

Also annoyed with people asking if I'm scared or nervous to give birth, maybe it's just me but I just find it so unhelpful and rude to ask that!

No baby here yet! Only 40 weeks Friday this week though. No signs at all, feels like it's getting further away!

Here it's the assumption that as I've done it 3 times already it will be a breeze and the baby will just fall out. Well I'm scared and nervous, absolutely shitting it over the possibility of being induced. My mum is stressing me out and will check on me/us All the time and tells me whenever she's going out, I know she means we'll but I just want to be left alone!! Not looking forward to school pick up today - it'll be HOW many days late are you late now?! Where is the baby?! Pretty sure its inside me still.

I get you, I'm the same at nursery pickup. Spoke to one staff member in the morning, then a different girl in the afternoon, x says you're ready to drop, then spoke to other parents at weekend and they were saying the staff were saying I looked ready 😂. I don't really mind, it just so frustrating waiting! Then there's the 10 million messages a day, any news?? Especially when they are from people who wouldn't be interested in my life normally! Friends I can cope with when they are being helpful. Come on baby!
