Shortening cervix, progesterone pessaries

Hello, I’m currently 24w pregnant with my 3rd, I had a cervical scan 2 weeks ago and it measured 30mm, the scan I had yesterday it was down to 20mm. I’ve been given progesterone pessaries for my cervix and consultants signed me off work for 4 weeks. I have to return next week for another scan. Can anybody tell me the likelihood of these working please to prolong my pregnancy? How far along did you get if you had them too?

I’ve got myself all worked up. Previous ds was born at 29 weeks and although he is absolutely perfect now, it took a long, bumpy road to get here, I’m not sure I can handle it again.
Thank you x

@Sallymads can I ask how you got on with progesterone? Did it help

@Sallymads I'm also eager to know how you got on with these as I've been prescribed them too

Hello! I was prescribed them up until 37 weeks and I’m so pleased to say by week 32, my cervix had actually grown a little to 24mm which is amazing! I was induced at 37 weeks due to separate placenta issues, but otherwise I think I would have gotten further! One thing is wear a panty liner with these things! Blush
Best of luck ladies xx
