Hi GGGM I wasn't ignoring you this time but just got home at 6 this evening.
My waters broke at 3:35am on Sunday morning my EDD & my second daughter Elliot was born at 16:51. She was 7lbs 13ozs and is gorgeous.
I managed my VBAC with a little help from the forceps fairy, not the most pleasant thing ever & omg co-codamol is my best friend right now, but I know in the long run it was worth it. My Dr was lovely and said I was a terrific pusher but her wee head was at an odd angle and no amount of pushing without help would have got her out so I feel quite proud of myself.
Fingers crossed you're a Mummy too I've not had time to read all the latest threads cos I'm only on for 5 minutes and going to bed now as knackered. DD2 is sound asleep, lets hope she stays that way for a while
I'll catch up tomorrow and maybe see a wee birth announcement from yourself.

BIG BIG CONGRATS Jbck.

Ooooh I am so of you, I am 40+2 and baby seems to have dug his heels in. I dont think I'm gonna get to see him any time soon.

So very happy for you, it's great that you were able to get through the VBAC.
What a beautiful name you have chosen for your DD. Your should be proud of yourself how wonderful.

I'm sorry I haven't replied before but it's been a hell of a week so far, my poor DM is very, very ill , so I have been over at my parents house looking after her. Then I had to go in to the ADU yesterday for reduced movements and severe dizziness (But all is fine )

Keep me posted on how you are, I look forward to chatting again (When you get chance, lol )

xx

GGMM take it you're still waiting, sorry to hear about your Mum but I saw on your ranty thread that's she's a bit better & hopefully on the mend.
I'm going to join the November postnatal thread now, I always found the antenatal one too fast & spent so long reading messages I could never catch up.
Ellie is so laid back & sleeping for hours at a time I'm practically bored this time round. Her sister was up for a feed every hour or two for weeks so this my house is spotless & ironing up to date, something unheard of normally.
B/feeding not going well unfortunately, so I'm trawling threads on that board looking for help.
DH is actually out watching the Scotland game, poo we got beaten in the last minute, I can't believe I calmly waved him off with a 'See you when we see you' 6 days after I'd had a baby.
Fingers crossed something happens for you this weekend.

Hi Jbck, Thanks mum is doing so much better now, she has gall stones, so a big weight off!!

So glad to hear that Ellie is doing well, lucky you that she is sleeping for hours at a time.

I have been in labour now since 6am and am really excited. I will post a message for you once I have had the baby.

Jbck,
I had my baby, a beautiful little girl, called Erica May. We had a bit of a commotion during birth, but all turned out fine.

Hope you and baby are doing well.

(grin)

Chloe55 · 21/11/2007 19:51

congratulations to you both

Jbck · 21/11/2007 22:39

Great news, welcome Erica May! Despite any hiccups along the way you have your lovely baby.
Hope you're enjoying being a Mummy, savour every moment, my 1st 'baby' is 6 and it doesn't seem 10 minutes since she was Ellie's size.
Congrats again and here's to some restful nights
