Just because these are my favorite threads.

What is the most ridiculous reason you cried at during pregnancy?

I'll start:
Me and my partner were watching a stand up comedy special on Netflix the other week and we were laughing so much at it that I started ugly crying as I was having such a nice evening.

Not sure if this is allowed because it was PMS rather than pregnancy but I got upset watching my cat eat his dinner because he was eating on his own.

Mixitupalot · 01/05/2021 21:28

My youngest is 8 now but when I was pregnant with him, I was very hormonal. I cried for 20 mins straight balling because DH farted... we can lol about it now!

Makingnumber2 · 01/05/2021 21:35

I cried in the car today because Good as hell by Lizzo came on and for some inexplicable reason I found the lyrics made me really emotional. I'm not even 5weeks yet the hormones are real.

eloiseislost · 02/05/2021 07:54

Currently 17 weeks and I've not been feeling particularly hormonal 80% of the time, but I've had my moments shall we say! My top 2:

  1. I cried my eyes out at Tesco because I couldn't find the salt & vinegar crisps I like. They were right in front of me, as a very polite and confused employee pointed out!
  2. We moved house recently and the movers had to dismantle the cat tree so it would fit in the van. I cried my eyes out because "what if we can never put it back together as it was before and the cats just know something's off?"

oh this is bad....

Driving to work this morning, i cried because 2 lorries saluted each other on either side of the road as they passed. They were from the same company and were just saying hello.... i was very touched by it Blush

feistymumma · 03/05/2021 08:09

My partner being there 100% and being sick a sweetheart. He always is but it's somehow making me cry lol

feistymumma · 03/05/2021 08:13

Such not sick

Llamadramasheepface · 03/05/2021 08:19

It was about 2 weeks before my due date with DS2 and it was a red hot day, I was tired, sore and uncomfortable as had SPD. I rang my midwife and ended up leaving her a voicemail sobbing telling her to get this baby out of me now. Once I had calmed down and she rang me back I was mortified. Even more so when she said she didn't have a magic wand and couldn't make that happen.

AnonymousXXIX · 03/05/2021 08:26

I just turned on call the midwife and started crying in the first 5 seconds. (It always makes me cry but this is a record.)

bluemagicalsky · 03/05/2021 09:02

I sobbed as I had to pause the film because I needed a wee!

SaveFerris1 · 03/05/2021 09:08

Roadkill made me sob, I imagined the little baby bunnies wondering where mum was not knowing she was dead on the road. It happened a lot 😂

SugarCoatIt · 03/05/2021 09:50

Ordered a KFC rice box, we drove down the road to the sea to eat our lunch - opened my ricebox to find it was a salad, no rice whatsoever.

I sobbed my heart out.

Baxterbear · 08/05/2021 18:36

@MustBeTheWine

With DS1 it was Because I looked pregnant when I was 7 months pregnant. As silly as that sounds. Bought a dress for a wedding, looked in the mirror and burst into tears. Took DP a good hour to calm me down and kept telling me "but you are pregnant" god knows what was going on with me that day 😂

With DS2 I had a mental break down at the dinner table because we hadn't ordered any baby bottles (6 months pregnant). DP ended up having to get someone to cover his shift at work because he couldn't leave as I was in such a state. We went to get baby bottles the next day 😂

Actually crying reading this...🤷
Velvetscrunchy · 08/05/2021 18:44

Because my husband made my tea too hot. And then made it too cold. 🤷🏻‍♀️

bleachblondemom · 09/05/2021 00:19

This thread is so wholesome.

A few times when I was pregnant I would laugh at something funny in a film/tv show, then cry because I was so pleased that someone had written something so funny.
I also cried one time because I was having a really nice bath...

bleachblondemom · 09/05/2021 00:23

@saffysue I am absolutely pissing myself laughing at this 😂

I did a similar thing where I cried because DH made shepherds pie and I didn’t feel up to eating, and the sight of him eating it on his own made me cry (even though he wasn’t alone, I was in the room with him).

PeacefulInTheDeep · 09/05/2021 00:40

I cried because because I wanted noodles with my stir fry but we only had rice.

I cried watching Dumbo. Huge mistake. Learn from me and DO NOT WATCH DUMBO WHILST PREGNANT.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 09/05/2021 08:49

At about 10 weeks pregnant I had to pull off the road on the way to work because The Circle of Lofe came on the radio and I was sobbing so hard I couldn't see Grin

I just cried reading this post
naemates · 09/05/2021 09:52

Tinchy Stryder/N-Dubs song Number 1 came on in the car and I was just overwhelmed by how lovely it was that his homie become his only.
It was actually what made me think 'hmm maybe I should buy a test'

Sunflowerx · 09/05/2021 10:16

I didn't know what I wanted for tea one night. I really sobbed in my boyfriends arms for about half an hour wondering how he's able to put up with pregnant me Grin

MajorMujer · 09/05/2021 10:21

It's been over 20 years since I was last pregnant, but DH still remembers fondly when the Andrex Xmas tv advert ( a puppy is for life, not just for Christmas) unleashed such a tsunami of hysterical crying from me that my mum and dad had to drive over to console me as nothing else had worked. Aged 26, sobbing into my mums lap over a sodding advert Grin

KCN2020 · 09/05/2021 20:52

When McDonald’s reopened last year after Lockdown #1 we went to the drive thru and my husband refused to wait as the que was so big. I cried my eyes out 😂

georgarina · 10/05/2021 03:32

Cried at an old episode of Educating the East End today when the school cleaner's son wins head boy

123feraverto · 10/05/2021 13:27
