Brown discharge 7 weeks

Hi ladies

I had an external scan on Tuesday and baby was all fine and had a strong heartbeat.
As soon as I came out of the scan and emptied my bladder I had very light brown discharge and it hasn't really stopped. I woke up this morning and it was darker, I'll add a picture.

I don't have any pain or cramps. My scan on Tuesday showed everything as fine but I can't help but worry.

Has anybody had the same kind of thing?

Update: just been to check again and it's clear. It comes and goes.

Any advice / ideas?

Sorry I know I sound ridiculous but I am very worried.

Hey love, I had exactly the same for quite a while (think about 10 days off and on) and then at 8 weeks it just went away and touch wood its not returned and I'm almost 20 weeks now and so far, so good.

i was told that brown is just old blood coming away and could be from left over implantation or a little blood vessel that burst a while ago. I had some pink too and even some red very briefly! If you're worried can you call your midwife? (You may not have one yet, have you had your booking apt?) or the midwife department at the hospital and they should reassure you.

I know how worrying it can be but try and stay off google as you'll go insane! i hope everything is okay for you!

Hello @unicornpower thank you for replying and sharing your story, that makes me feel sooo much better.
I keep thinking it's where they were pushing down quite hard during the scan and my bladder was very full. It was quite sore at the time but I told her to go ahead because I just want her to get a good image.
I haven't been assigned a midwife just yet and feel a bit lost, on Tuesday they took all my details and said a midwife would be in touch.
Isn't it just such a worry? My MIL told me she actually bled for 6 months with my OH and he came out just fine so I'm feeling slightly better.

@sunflowersaremyfav93 No problem! i know how worrying it is and honestly i googled my head off and some stories were comforting and others not so much but honestly, the fact your baby had a strong heartbeat and all looked ok is a big tick!

Maybe the sonographer just dislodged some old blood or something, they DO press so hard don't they! Some of mine was brought on by being really sick so it can really be caused by anything. I would definitely call your maternity unit if you are panicking and hopefully they'll reassure you, i rang mine in a right tizz and she was lovely and then it did just go away-I still check the tissue after each wee though! I'm sure it'll all be fine xxxxxxxx

Thank you @unicornpower I'm going to keep an eye on it and hopefully it passes soon. I've trying to get through to my EPU as well it's so difficult getting through to them.

Hi I have had this since Friday lots of brown discharge and slight bleeding but this charge is really dark brown I am have some cramps but have had scan and baby’s heartbeat is fine everything looks ok but they think it could be old implantation blood r burst blood vessel just wondering how long did yours last for i am 8 weeks plus 1 day
