Bump feeling bloated

Hey guys,

So I'm pregnant with 1st baby. I'm 25 weeks, and my stomach just constantly feels bloated. I feel constantly uncomfortable like I've eaten a huge amount of food. Is this just what having a bump feels like? I don't even have a particularly huge bump yet either! So uncomfortable already hahah

Just looking to see if this is normal really!

I felt like this with my first pregnancy until birth! Also feeling like it this time and now 18 weeks.

It's a horrible feeling. I'm petite (5ft) and alllllll the front so I'm guessing that's why.

That sounds normal to me too but maybe mention to midwife next time you're in. I was diagnosed at 35 weeks with gestational diabetes because of higher than normal levels of amniotic fluid which did make my bump bigger than usual... in the unlikely event you have this it's easily sorted with dietary changes or sometimes meds so no need to worry.

@SenoraSurf I'm glad it's not just me! Although sorry for anyone else this uncomfortable haha! I'm also quite short actually maybe that contributes!

@truthwarrior17 I actually do have GD and was diagnosed super early into pregnancy and am on metformin, I didnt consider that could have an effect actually! So far they've not mentioned any extra fluid yet but I suppose they'll keep an eye on that in my growth scans

@Jurassiclover YES! this is exactly hwo i feel! Im 21 weeks, and just feel MASSIVE and bloated and its really quite uncomfortable. I feel like ive just always got a 6 course meal sitting in my tummy! Bump only really started to show in the last week, and only kinda below the belly button. I wondered this too, is this just normal?! i haven't had that feeling like u have in the morning before breakfast where u feel nice and empty! Im just full as an egg! dreading getting bigger, im gonna pop!!! im about 5ft 7 so theres room for the bump still to go upwards... heres hoping!

Mine felt a lot like this between about 18-24 weeks, once my bump 'popped' it stopped and now I only feel bloated if I've eaten too much and my stomach is being squashed by the baby! I wouldn't expect to feel like that the whole pregnancy though - maybe the GD is to do with it.

@leftitlate37 I feel the same! My stomach feels like it's already stretched to its limit hahah! Glad I'm not alone but hopefully we get some comfort back soon hahaha!

@notalwaysalondoner I'm now almost 27 weeks and the bloated about to pop feeling hasn't disappeared yet hahaha! I'm starting to think it may be the GD! I have a growth scan at 28 weeks so I'll ask them if it seems I have a lot of water or something hahah!

I do have an anterior placenta too, not sure if that would make a difference!
