Bleeding at 6 weeks pregnant

Hi,
Just looking for some advice and support really.
To my calculations I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant. On Monday I started to bleed, was seen in A&E and an internal examination showed my cervix for closed and I was booked in for an ultrasound on Friday. Last night the bleeding became much heavier so today I paid for a private scan at a clinic. I was given an internal scan and saw the babies heartbeat and was told everything was in the right place however was measuring less that 6 weeks. I was told to take the measurement from today to my nhs scan on Friday and to see if the baby has grown. I continue to bleed quite heavily. Is there any hope for this baby of is my pregnancy doomed?
Thankyou in advance

How far are you measuring?

So good news, you’ve saw the heartbeat, cervix is closed, everything in place.

I know 3 people who bled the whole way through their pregnancies! It is common.

Congrats and I wish you the best of luckDaffodil

Thankyou for you're reply!
The measurement I was given is 2mm which she said is less than 6 weeks. There is no way I could be less than 6 weeks as I track ovulation so im pretty sure on dates. The scan states she saw a gestation sac with single yolk sac and fetal pole with heart pulsations. I'm just so worried that the bleeding alongside the small measurement can only be a bad sign

Did she say not say weeks or anything?
To have all those (sac, fetal pole, HB) you would be around 6 weeks as this is the time for the HB etc.
Could you try ringing your EPU to see if they’ll see you and scan you more thorough?

No she just said less than 6. I did ring my epu as I was worried about the small measurement after the scan, she tried to reassure me but I know I'm wanting answers that no one can give me at the moment! I have a scan with the early pregnancy unit on Friday morning so will just be a waiting game until then but I think it's the not knowing that's the worst thing.

I have had a lot of early scans at hospitals (due to recurrent miscarriages) and they have always told me the earliest you can see a heartbeat is 5 1/2 weeks, and it's not normally seen until 6 at least.
So if they saw a heartbeat today you can't be much under 6 weeks.

100% op the anxiety is awful. But you have everything you would expect to see at 6 weeks so I’m confused as to why she’s saying your less!

Keep telling yourself you seen a heartbeat today❤️

Unfortunately shortly after writing this I passed something when I went to the toilet. I took it to the epu and they think it was the sac. I have a scan on Friday morning to confirm pregnancy is over. Only thing I'm slightly confused about is it measured almost 2cm and it said on my scan sac was measuring 2mm
