Hunger pains!

I’m 5+3 and got woken up by a sharp pain in my upper abdomen last night. Didn’t last long, and went back to sleep fine.
All today I’ve had a feeling - it’s not a pain, and I’m almost certain it’s a hunger pang, in my upper stomach, above my belly button to the right. It feels way too high to be near my uterus and it’s not like a period cramp which I know is normal.

Is this normal to have hunger pangs?! I’ve eaten all morning, and it lessens out and then it’s there, I’m aware of it as it doesn’t hurt but it feels like I’ve almost gone 0-100 on the hunger scales. I panicked it could be ectopic but every thing I’ve read says it would be lower and much more obviously a pain.

My last pregnancy and this one so far, have been very low key symptoms except tiredness and an upset tum on the morning.

Hi OP, I had this in the early weeks of my
Pregnancy. The only thing that helped me was to eat little and often. I found if I had my usual 3 meals a day, I'd always get hunger pains inbetween, especially at night! This disappeared for me at around 9 weeks. I'm now 13+3 and everything is perfect so far and I'm back to eating normally again xx

@lockdownbabyx thank you! I’ve been keen to not ‘over eat’ especially so far so I presume it’s my body telling me ‘hey, you need a little extra right now!’ So today I’ve eaten more, and more filling things like flapjack and banana.

Im glad hunger pains are normal and every thing is healthy with you, it certainly threw me off last night as usually I’d get a rumbly stomach but it’s definitely something I’ve been aware of today!

I guess I’ll go with the flow and see what my body needs. I work out 5/6 days a week so that probably doesn’t help!
