Line progression? - 4dp5dt to 6dp5dt

These are my test results from 4dp5dt (top) to 6dp5dt (bottom).
I feel like the line should have progressed. Anybody else had a similar experience and successful pregnancy?
Thank you

Congrats on the pregnancy.

HPT are designed to give a yes or no answer. They can't tell you how pregnant you are or whether a pregnancy is viable.

The darkness of the line can be altered by how dilute you urine is, time of day test taken, batch the test is from.

HGC roughly doubles every 48 hours and it can take a while for it to really ramp up.

Try not to worry or read too much into lines, though as someone who's been through infertility, I know that's hard

MGee123 · 28/04/2021 07:01

Without wanting to sound too negative, 4dpt could possibly still be remnants of your trigger shot (most contain HCG). I don't know the exact time frames for how long it takes to get out your system, but 4dpt is extremely early to test and I don't think you would expect to see a positive result anyway at this point.

I would try to stop testing as it is probably causing you additional stress. Easier said than done I know. 8-9dpt or so is generally the earliest you might expect a positive result I think. I got a positive on OTD at 11dp5dt- it wasn't overly strong so I can't imagine it would have been there if I had tested many days earlier. Whilst it seems a long time, there is a reason the clinics tells you to wait as early results can be misleading either way. Try to hold on if you can. Good luck.

Thank you. I didn’t do a trigger shot with my FET cycle so I think it is a pregnancy but it could go chemical.
I have had a slow rising hcg before that ended up a PUL needing methotrexate - really hoping this doesn’t go the same way and I’ve just tested too early.
Really wish I hadn’t started testing now but will keep this thread updated in case it helps anyone else.

Mine was very light to start with (didn't even get a hint of a line on a FRER until the afternoon of 5dp5dt). The HCG is doubling at very low numbers at this stage and 6dp5dt is still very early so leave it 48 hours and test again. Good luck OP!

MabelG · 28/04/2021 07:21

Cross post - also FETs can start off a bit lower as they can be slower to get going. My clinic wanted a level of 100 on OTD for fresh but 50 for FET

MGee123 · 28/04/2021 07:26

So sorry to hear of your previous loss. And apologies, I hadn't realised it was an FET. You can still step away from the tests for a few days - you'll get a clearer picture of you leave it for a while anyway. All fingers crossed for you.

@Needadvice1233 congrats! I had a fairly clear line for 6dp5dt so it is possible to pick it up earlier, but on the same front some don't get a clear line until much later!
Looks positive to me and darkening up :)

@Vimeo0 those all look faintly positive to me also. How far along are you?

Vimeo0 · 30/04/2021 07:54

I had a miscarriage just under 2 months ago and haven’t had a period yet so I’m not sure how far along I am, I tested after my miscarriage and it was negative

Vimeo0 · 30/04/2021 08:10

I tested because I had felt sick for about a week, that’s what i felt like last time x

MabelG · 30/04/2021 08:27

@Needadvice1233 looks like good progression to me! Does your clinic do a blood test on OTD?

Needadvice1233 · 30/04/2021 08:50

@MabelG thanks. No my clinic don’t do a blood test - just a 6 week scan. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

@Vimeo0 They look positive and could be if you have also had a negative after your MC. Do you know how far on you would be? Only thing you can do is wait a few days and retest

Vimeo0 · 30/04/2021 14:45

3 weeks maximum. I’m just hoping they are not evaporation lines, we trying for baby

bages1977 · 30/04/2021 14:53

@Vimeo0 three weeks is very early to get a strong positive. I'd give it another 2 days and retest 🤞

IndigoNC · 30/04/2021 15:02

@Vimeo0 I find blue dye tests hard to read. A frer might give a clearer answer

Vimeo0 · 01/05/2021 10:20

Just hope it’s positive

Vimeo0 · 01/05/2021 15:12

I bought a strip test , ignore the marks on it it got caught, there’s 2 lines on there as well.
