Head circumference

Hi Mums and Mums to be

Has anyone ever been referred for a head circumference at 97% and VP at over 10mm? I had a 32 week growth scan today and baby's head circumference is big, which alone is okay, but the fluid measurement is also higher than normal. Really scared right now!

We do, my son is now 2 and his head circumference is over the 100th percentile. My baby's head (38 weeks pregnant) is confirmed to be large (98th percentile). I never noticed before but DH and all of his family have large heads. They did not say anything about fluids though.

Have you got a large head or your husband? There are percentiles for adults. It's often hereditary.

I don't think either of us do have particularly large heads but I could be wrong. That's just my opinion. I'm so scared about the fluid

Hi OP, I don't know about fluid but my son is 2 and his head has consistently followed the 97th/99th centile since pregnancy. He had an ultrasound on his head when he was about 8 weeks old to check for excess fluid but it was ok.

What did they say to you about the fluid?
