Baby Clothes - How many of everything?!

First time mummy to be here - Wondering if anyone can shed some light on how many of everything to buy for baby? Just cannot wrap my head around how you're supposed to know how many is too many or not enough?

So far I have the following:

Newborn size -
Short sleeve vest: 10
Long sleeve vest: 11
Baby grows: 9

0-3 size -
Short sleeve vest: 11
Long sleeve vest: 10
Baby grows: 8
Tops: 1
Bottoms: 7

3-6 size -
Short sleeve vest: 5
Long sleeve vest: 0
Baby grows: 3
Tops: 4
Bottoms: 6
Dungarees: 2
Cardigans: 1

Bibs: 9
Socks: 15 pairs
Muslin: 12
Hats: 3

I would say that's fine for now, if you need more there's always next day delivery and super markets! I also bought some swaddles and have plenty of scratch mits.

When are you due? Time of year will impact what you need in each size.

Babygros - enough for a two a day especially in the early days so 14 to avoid washing all the time.

Socks - completely pointless for a baby, get sleepsuits with feet. They don't stay on

Hats - what for unless a winter baby?

Next day delivery and supermarkets are readily available so don't panic about it. You will be gifted lovely but completely impractical clothes too so I wouldn't get much more for now.

Muslins - you can never have too many muslins they are so good for so many things

Honestly don't panic about it now. You can always order more when the baby arrives and remember you will also get gifts. I personally never used long sleeved vests .

I’d buy another couple of baby grow and short-sleeved vest multipacks for newborn/0-3m. You can go through a lot in a day and you’re so busy, you can get behind on laundry.
I ended up never using any long-sleeved vests. That was a waste of money for me.
Is baby a summer baby? You haven’t mentioned jackets or jumpers.
