TTC after coming off the pill

Hey, new here!

Me and my partner decided to try for out 1st in December 2020.
I came off my pill (microgynon) on the 1st Jan and had my withdrawal bleed as normal. I then had my first period 40days later. I had read it could take 3 months for everything to get back into sync so was happy with this. However, now nothing. I am now 71 days in to my cycle and no sign. I have done pregnancy tests and all negative, I've had blood tests and they have come back with 'no action needed'

I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience when coming off contraception, is this normal?

Thanks

Oh no, I know how frustrating this must be! I stopped my pill (rigevidon) in September and luckily managed to conceive within 3 months but I do feel very lucky that was the case! I had around 40 days til the first period then a short cycle of about 21 days then the next month I got pregnant. We were really trying and using everything under the sun to get pregnant and I’m not convinced it was even possible the first two months due to how all over the place my cycles were. Really hope your period arrives soon so you can try again

Thats really good news. I'm glad everything worked out for you :-). Can I ask what you used? I've seen a lot of people comment about Agnus Castle but not sure what I should consider taking.

@Stresshead129 I didn’t take anything like that but that might speed your period up at least. I just did the easy at home ovulation strips constantly and did the clearblue ovulation tests every morning. We used preseed just to see if it would help at all. People seem to say it sways it towards a boy and it’s a boy!

I came off my pill (cerelle) in aug 2019 and got my withdrawel bleed 30 days later but then it all went tits up and i could never tell when my period was coming i had a randum 65 day cycle aswell! We both went for fertility tests in june 2020 everything came back satisfactory, we finally got our BFP on the 27th oct 2020 and im now almost 30 weeks. If i could give my past self advice it would be to not stress and blame myself and keep saying it will happen when its our time. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

@sarah13xx Thanks for coming back to me. I've ordered some ovulation sticks but not not sure when to start. Might see if AF turns up soon, I'm getting the odd cramp so I'm keeping my fingers crossed x

@xoxochellexoxo. Hey, its really good to know I'm not alone, I thought my body was hating me for being on the pill for so long. Congratulations on your baby news! X

@TheDaydreamBelievers thanks you :-). I'll pop over and join the chat. Its reassuring that this can be normal. The success stories from the girls above have definitely lifted my spirits x
