Measuring bigger?

So i had my 28 week midwife appointment last tues at 28+2 and measured 30.5 on the fundal measurements, shes basically made this a big deal and got me a little worried and has booked my 32 week appointment at 31+5, she said this could be because of extra amniotic fluid. I know measuring over or under is very normal but is it something i should be concerned about?

Fundal height measurements are not very accurate so don't worry. They'll send you for a growth scan if you continue to measure ahead.
I've had big babies with extra fluid and it's not been a problem in the pregnancies or with birth.

It’s not that she’s making a big deal of it, but they have a protocol to follow which is to send you for a growth scan if your fundal measurement is ‘out’ by a certain amount either way. It’s a really inaccurate measurement, but they need to use something to go on. I wouldn’t worry about it, wait and see what the growth scan says.

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought she’d referred you for a growth scan.

No she hasnt referred me yet she said depending what i was measuring at 31+5 then id be sent for a growth scan, first baby so its all new to me, i know the measurements can be a little off i just wasnt aware they made as big a deal about it when its only 0.5 above the line
