Pregnant with DC2. I don't recall any BH with DC1. Have had the odd BH from time to time over the past couple of months. This week or so I have noticed them once or twice a day, mostly evenings, not painful and lasts a few seconds. Last night had several in an hour. Thought about calling labour ward for advice but didn't feel like I was in labour and I read they can be caused by dehydration so I had some water and they seemed to stop and I went to sleep. Mentioned to consultant today and she didn't seem concerned as they then went away and I didn't have any other symptoms of labour.

I've had a couple this evening too.

Just wondered if anyone else had experience of this.

I’ve had quite strong ones for weeks now. For me they are stronger in the evening and now, at 37 weeks, they are becoming more frequent.

I had them a lot when I was pregnant with my DD and was convinced I’d have her early but didn’t : )

The midwives have always told me not to worry unless they are painful.

Thank you for your reply @Teakind Thats my worry now, that I may go into labour early, but someone else said the same thing - that if they're not painful then not to worry.
