Hi,

Just looking for a bit of advice please ... I’m conscious about calling MAU as they will just ask me to come in for monitoring for what might be nothing Confused

I’m 36+4 and baby is on the 3rd percentile so I’m having regular growth scans and have been told to call everytime i have reduced movements although this is general advice for everyone.

I didn’t feel baby move from 10-3pm today and tried all the tricks such as a cold drink, warm bath and starjumps nothing happened just as I was about to call MAU baby moved so i’m confused as to whether I should call I don’t want to be a time waster as i’ve been in 2 times before and everything was normal.

Should also mention TMI but i’ve had sickness and diarrhoea this morning and i’m feeling extremely hot and sweaty.

I would ring. You have been told any reduced movement to contact them and esp after trying all those things to get baby to move and them not working! And just be honest and say you have just felt movement though. They will probably ask you to monitor movement for a period of time and then ring them again and go from there. Hope it settles into normality for you, its so hard not to sit and worry.

You’ve been told to call. You are NOT wasting their time. Hope it is nothing but always worth getting checked. Good luck OP.

Call them. Please. It's their job to check this out, and you are not a time waster. Best of luck!

The general consensus is that if baby's pattern has changed, then you should call and go in. Especially if you're worried.

Please ring and don't wait any longer.
